Cherry Grove Beach is a named community at the north end of the City of North Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. It is not a separate incorporated city. Visitor-facing addresses in Cherry Grove generally use “North Myrtle Beach, SC 29582.”
Cherry Grove was one of four historic beach communities—along with Ocean Drive, Crescent Beach and Windy Hill—that consolidated to create North Myrtle Beach in 1968. The City continues to use those community names for wayfinding and local services.
Practical location
Cherry Grove lies along the Atlantic Ocean at the northern end of North Myrtle Beach, with the Cherry Grove Marsh and Little River area to the west and north. Sea Mountain Highway, the Cherry Grove Fishing Pier and the inlet are common reference points.
There is no single visitor boundary that is useful for every purpose. Lodging listings, neighborhood names, postal addresses and City service areas can describe the edges differently. Enter the exact street address of your rental, hotel, restaurant or beach access into your map app instead of navigating only to “Cherry Grove Beach.”
Finding the beach
Use the City of North Myrtle Beach’s official beach-access and amenities map to choose an access point and check the current parking FAQ before arriving. Parking rules and fees depend on the space and season.
