Last reviewed: August 13, 2026. Cherry Grove vacation rentals range from oceanfront condominiums and resort-managed units to detached beach houses near the inlet, marsh, or canals. The right choice depends on the exact location, total price, parking, sleeping layout, accessibility, cancellation terms, and property rules—not simply the words “Cherry Grove” in a listing.

Choose the right part of the area
- North Ocean Boulevard and the pier area: closest to Cherry Grove’s oceanfront, beach accesses, and the fishing pier.
- Inlet and Point area: popular for marsh and inlet scenery, but walking distance, beach access, tides, and parking vary by address.
- Canal and marsh properties: water access, dock use, channel depth, boat clearance, and maintenance responsibilities are property-specific.
- Ocean Drive, Crescent Beach, Windy Hill, Little River, and inland Highway 17: nearby options, but they are not interchangeable with an oceanfront Cherry Grove location.
Map the exact street address before booking. “Oceanfront,” “ocean view,” “second row,” “walk to the beach,” and “Cherry Grove area” can describe very different stays.
Before you book
- Confirm whether you are renting a hotel room, an individually owned condominium, or an entire home.
- Compare the final price, including taxes, cleaning, booking or processing fees, pet charges, linens, deposits, damage protection, parking, and required add-ons.
- Check the cancellation policy, payment schedule, minimum age, identification requirements, minimum stay, and check-in method.
- Verify the actual bed configuration, maximum occupancy, number of bathrooms, elevator access, stairs, door widths, and any accessibility needs.
- Ask whether linens, towels, beach gear, grills, golf carts, bicycles, cribs, and high chairs are included and available for your dates.
- Confirm pool or hot-tub access, opening dates, heating, closures, supervision rules, and whether amenities are shared.
- Ask about construction, storm repairs, exterior projects, elevator work, or nearby development that could affect the stay.
- For pets, get the property’s written policy and fees. Also review the City’s seasonal beach dog rules.
Parking, vehicles, and beach access
Do not assume a large rental includes parking for every guest. Ask for the number, location, clearance, and size of assigned spaces and whether trailers, motorcycles, oversized vehicles, or golf carts are allowed. Street parking and nearby public lots may be restricted or paid.
North Myrtle Beach’s 2026 paid-parking season runs March 1 through October 31, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. The standard rate is $4 per hour, while the Seaview Lot is $2 per hour. Rules and rates can change, so use the City’s current parking FAQs and beach-access information when planning.
If a listing includes or permits a golf cart, review the City’s current golf-cart laws. Rental permission does not make every road, route, driver, or time of day legal.
Rules that apply during your stay
Short-term rentals must comply with applicable City rules, and guests remain responsible for beach laws, parking, noise, occupancy, trash, pets, fireworks, and other restrictions. Review:
- City short-term-rental information
- Our reviewed Cherry Grove Beach rules summary
- Official City beach laws
- Official City fireworks guidance
Property rules can be stricter than City rules. Follow the rental agreement, association rules, posted signs, and official notices.
Avoid booking problems
- Use the platform’s or property manager’s official payment system; be cautious if asked to move payment to wire transfer, cryptocurrency, gift cards, or an unfamiliar site.
- Save the listing, rental agreement, receipts, cancellation terms, and written answers to trip-critical questions.
- Confirm the local after-hours contact and what happens if the unit, keys, air conditioning, plumbing, elevator, or advertised amenity is unavailable.
- Recheck the address, access instructions, weather, beach rules, and parking plan shortly before arrival.
